Description
Bioron's PureColumn DNA Extraction Kit is designed for fast and efficient DNA extraction of pure genomic DNA from eukaryotic cells, whole blood and bacteria from canned and processed food samples. DNA can also be purified from milk and co-products such as milk-powder, cheese and yogurt.
With this kit, up to 25µg of DNA can be extracted. All required spin columns, buffers and reagents are included, as well as detailed protocols of DNA extraction and purification from whole blood, cells and food.
The procedure is based on optimized buffers and the use of specially designed columns. The advanced buffer system is used for efficient recovery of DNA and removal of contaminants. DNA is adsorbed to the uniquely designed spin membrane and all impurities are efficiently removed by washing. The pure DNA is directly eluted in a special buffer.
For preparation of genomic DNA from gram positive bacteria, lysozyme is used. The highly pure isolated DNA can be used in subsequent applications such as PCR, qPCR or sequencing.
