Description
Recombinant, thermostable enzyme with intrinsic reverse transcription (RT) activity for RT-PCR and regular PCR.
Tth DNA Polymerase was isolated from eubacterium Thermus thermophilus strain HB8 and is expressed in E. coli.
Tth Polymerase has an intrinsic reverse transcription activity, but no RNase H activity. It is suitable for both RT-PCR and regular PCR. It shows RNA-dependent DNA polymerase activity in the presence of Mn2+ ions. DNA is replicated at 74°C. Tth polymerase can incorporate modified dNTPs.
This enzyme can reverse transcript and amplify fragments up to 3-4 kb. Three buffers are included for RT-PCR, standard PCR, and one-step reactions, as well as an additional MnCl2.
