Description

MagSi-Protein G Beads are coated with protein G and can be used to detect or isolate target proteins by coupling the Fc domain of an IgG antibody to a protein. These magnetic silica beads are ideal for IgG purification and immunoprecipitation. Other applications include capture of immunoglobulins, purification purposes, antibody screening, protein interaction studies, phage display, immunoassays, and cell isolation.

These beads come in three different diameters: 600nm, 1µm and 3µm. 600nm beads have a larger surface area, and the sedimentation time of 600nm beads is approximately 4 times slower than that of 1µm beads. This allows longer incubation times without shaking/mixing. Magnetic silica beads with a diameter of 3µm have stronger magnetic properties and will separate approximately 3 times faster than 1µm beads under the same conditions. The magnetic particles with a mean size of 600 nm or 1.0 µm are best used for IgG purification and immunoprecipitation, while the particles with a mean size of 3.0 µm are especially suitable for cell capture applications.

  • High quality recombinant Protein G covalently bound to the particle surface
  • Ideal for IgG purification and immunoprecipitation
  • Recombinant protein G (approximately 26 kDa) was produced by removing albumin, cell wall and cell membrane binding domains from wild-type protein G
  • Concentration of 10mg/ml
  • IgG purification
  • Immunoprecipitation
  • High yield protein purification
  • High yield antibody isolation
