Description
YPD Broth is a dehydrated powder for the preparation of nutritionally rich liquid medium for the growth and maintenance of developing yeast in molecular biology studies. This includes the cultivation of (recombinant) Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Pichia pastoris. YPD Broth contains glucose (dextrose), which favors the growth of yeast. Peptone and Yeast Extract are the sources for nitrogen, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids essential for growth.
