Users can define custom event criteria and allow the system to automatically detect and flag relevant moments. Detected events are presented through an intuitive interface, allowing users to monitor event status, review recent event activity, and jump directly to the corresponding period in the video recording.
By automatically highlighting significant events, the ActualHCA simplifies the process of understanding what occurred, when it happened, and which animal was involved, reducing time spent reviewing recordings and allowing reserachers to focus where it matters most!
ActualHCA is an innovative home cage analysis system that provides 24/7 monitoring of rodent behaviors in their social groups in their real home cage, with retained identity. This is achieved through a combination of video recording, RFID technology, and analysis. The technology utilized in Home Cage Analyzer provides automated analysis of discrete behaviors, body temperature, and locomotor activity all tagged to individual rodents within their normal social group. This eliminates the need to isolate individual animals and introduce them into different environments, thereby impacting results. HCA is useful in detecting and assessing safety/toxicology effects of candidate drugs as well as drug efficacy studies.
