Description
ProDeliverIN CRISPR Transfection Reagent is designed for delivery of recombinant Cas9 proteins or delivery of Cas9/gRNA RNP complexes for gene editing applications. This reagent provides high transfection efficiency with minimal toxicity. 100 µl of R-Phycoerythrin Positive Control is included.
Delivery of Cas9 proteins has several advantages over delivery of Cas9 DNA or mRNA. Cas9 recombinant proteins are delivered more rapidly than nucleic acids and are fully active once inside the cells without a latency period. In contrast, nucleic acids require transcription and translation machineries, lengthening the delivery process. Additionally, unlike delivery of mRNA, delivery of Cas9 recombinant proteins avoids genomic integration and is cell cycle independent. ProDeliverIN CRISP can be purchased with Cas9 Nuclease.
Figure 1: High delivery of Phycoerythrin recombinant protein in macrophages cells using Pro-DeliverIN CRISPR. Primary macrophages CD14+ were plated in 24-well plates in complete medium at the optimum density of 50-70% confluence at the time of transfection. The PE was monitored 24h after transfection by fluorescence microscopy.
