Description
Ron's Tissue & Blood DNA Mini Kit is designed for extraction of genomic DNA from tissue, blood, and cells.
The extraction method is based on an optimized buffer system and the specially designed Ron's spin columns. The advanced buffer system provides efficient recovery of DNA and removal of contaminants. DNA is adsorbed into the uniquely designed spin membrane and all impurities are efficiently removed through washing. The pure DNA is directly eluted in a special buffer.
Various samples have been evaluated with this kit including snails, deep sea mussels, clams, worms, mammalian tissue (muscle, brain, heart, liver, kidney and lung from rat, bovine ear cartilage and mouse tails) and blood (with or without coagulating reagents) or adherent cell suspensions. The material can be fresh or frozen, but also alcohol-preserved or even paraffin-embedded.
For extraction with Ron's Tissue & Blood DNA Mini Kit, fresh, frozen, or alcohol-preserved samples can be used. Extraction of DNA up to 60 kb is possible.
For fresh samples, we recommend an amount of 200 mg, and for brain or preserved samples, 50 mg. For mouse tail, use 1 cm.
