Anti-HSF1 | Heat shock factor 1

(Cat#: AS06 178)
AS06_178
AS06_178_1
Description
  • Immunogen: C-terminal part of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii HSF1 (Exons 7 to 9), UniProt: A1YTN3
  • Host: Rabbit
  • Clonality: Polyclonal
  • Purity: Serum
  • Format: Lyophilized
  • Quantity: 100 µl
  • Reconstitution: For reconstitution add 100 µl of sterile water
  • Storage: Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
  • Tested applications: Western blot (WB)
  • Recommended dilutions: 1: 3000 (WB)
  • Expected | apparent MW: 78.4 | 100 kDa
  • Confirmed reactivity: Chlamydomonas reinhardtii
  • Not reactive in: Higher plants
  • HSF1 is a key regulator of the stress response. It becomes hyperphosphorylated following heat shock (results in the shifting of the HSF1 protein to slightly higher MW) and HSF1 protein rapidly accumulates during heat stress. HSF1 appears to be constitutively present as high molecular weight complexes, presumably trimers. It also interacts with cytosolic HSP70A.

  • Unspecific cross-reactions at 40-50 kDa
