The Genefix “Xtra DNA Collect” is a saliva collection device designed to collect 3ml of saliva for improved yields over the standard GeneFix 1ml and 2ml saliva collectors. This collector is ideal for difficult applications or donors who have trouble with saliva delivery.

The Xtra DNA Collect 3ml saliva collector is packaged in the same tube as the 1ml and 2ml saliva collectors but is filled with 1ml of a more concentrated buffer. With this buffer and the increased amount of saliva, the final sample volume is 4ml and the sample contains 50% more saliva than the 1ml and 2ml collectors. 

Like the standard 1ml and 2ml collectors, the Xtra DNA Collect saliva collector comes pre-filled with a non-toxic stabilization buffer for long-term DNA stabilization at room temperature. DNA is stabilized for over 2 years. The collector has a simple screw-on funnel for saliva delivery directly into the buffer. The special funnel design prevents spillages or buffer flow back.
