PolyMag Nucleic Acid Delivery Reagent is based on the Magnetofection transfection technology. It is a polymer-based reagent composed of magnetic nanoparticles coated with cationic molecules. This reagent has been optimized for use with all types of nucleic acids and has been successfully tested on a large range of primary cells, hard-to-transfect cells and cell lines. PolyMag must be used with a magnetic plate.


Figure 1: Protocol. In the process of Magnetofection, nucleic acids, transfection reagents or viruses are associated with specific magnetic nanoparticles. The resulting molecular complexes are then concentrated and transported into cells supported by an appropriate magnetic field. 

Figure 2: PolyMag transfection efficiency in various cell lines. Cells seeded in a 24-well plate were transfected with PolyMag and pGFP DNA at a 1μL  of reagent per μg of DNA ratio. Transfection efficiency was monitored after 48h by flow cytometry.
