Description
MM-Separator 384 PCR is an automated magnetic separator designed for fast and efficient collection of magnetic beads in 384 well PCR microplates. The SBS dimensioned base fits on any robotic deck and small skirts on each side ensure correct and stable placement of microplates onto the separator. The red anodized aluminum block holds 12 x 8 neodymium magnets optimized for fast separation time. Each magnet enables beads to be pulled to the side of 4 wells for optimal access to the bottom of the wells and easy supernatant removal with 96 or 384 channel pipette heads.
Depending on the type of magnetic beads and the suspension media, volumes up to 40 µL can be used. The minimum elution volume is roughly 10 µL.
This magnetic separator is suitable for most 384 well PCR plates, both semi- and full-skirted as well as non-skirted, and for most 384 well microplates.
