FluoroStain DNA Fluorescent Staining Dye

FluoroStain DNA Fluorescent Staining Dye is designed as a safe replacement for conventional Ethidium bromide (EtBr), which poses a significant health and safety hazard for its users. FluoroStain offers at least 10 times sensitivity in DNA detection levels and can detect double stranded DNA (dsDNA) fragments up to 0.04 ng in electrophoresis analysis.

FluoroStain shows a high specificity to dsDNA with negligible background, rendering the destaining process optional. This dye is compatible with both the conventional ultra violet gel-illuminating systems and the less harmful, long wave length blue light illumination systems, including the B-BOX Blue Light LED epi-illuminator. The emission of FlouroStain when bound to dsDNA is 522 nm, while the excitation peaks occur at 270, 370 and 497 nm.
