Cellecta Cloning Vectors

Explore our selection of Vector Backbones designed to support a wide range of gene editing and gene expression applications. Choose from CRISPR sgRNA vectors for targeted genome modification, RNAi shRNA vectors for gene knockdown studies, and Tet-inducible systems and vectors for controlled, tunable gene expression. These versatile backbones provide flexible options for creating custom constructs tailored to your specific research needs.

FAQ's:

1. Are these lentiviral vectors self-inactivating?

Yes, all Cellecta's lentiviral vectors are 3rd-gen vectors and self-inactivating for biosafety.

2. Can you provide the control constructs (e.g. non-coding sgRNA) in any of your sgRNA vectors, including inducible vectors?

Yes, we can provide control constructs in any of our vector backbones.

3. Do the cloning vectors have fluorescent markers?

Most Cellecta vector backbones include markers like RFP or GFP for use in monitoring transduction.

4. What is the cargo capacity of these cDNA vectors?

Efficiency drops significantly if the vector insert exceeds ~7.5kb. SVTUB-P fits ~4.5kb; SVRTTATRB fits ~2.5kb.

5. Which promoter is better, EF1α or UbiC?

Both these promoters work; EF1α is generally stronger, but UbiC is highly consistent in most mammalian cells.
