Several formats of MagSi magnetic silica beads have been developed specifically for applications in proteomics.
MagSi-Proteomics beads with a hydrophobic surface, coated with C4, C8 or C18 -alkyl groups, and MagSi beads coated with a weak cation or weak anion exchange surface are ideal for sample preparation for protein and peptide analysis. The three available surfaces of MagSi-Proteomics beads differ in their levels of hydrophobicity, making them suited for specific applications. Additionally, MagSi beads coated with recombinant Protein A or Protein G are offered for immunoprecipitation and IgG purification.
