Description
GeneFix is an easy to use saliva collection device that stabilizes DNA and viral RNA in tubes pre-filled with a non-toxic stabilization buffer. Assisted saliva collectors were developed for donors who have difficulty delivering saliva, such as children, and include 2 foam swabs with each collector.
FDXA-01 is developed for 1ml of saliva. The collector has a simple screw-on funnel for saliva delivery directly into the buffer. Once in the buffer, DNA is stabilized for 5 years and viral RNA is stabilized for 5 days at room temperature, with high yields maintained.
FDX collectors are supplied with 2D FluidX barcoded tubes for identification. These tubes are specially designed to be rackable and robotic compatible and can be used in auto de-capping machines. The leakproof tubes are fully specified for sample transport and storage.
