Description
LipoMag Transfection Kit associates DreamFect Gold, a lipid-based transfection reagent, with CombiMag magnetic nanoparticles, the most versatile Magnetofection reagent. By taking advantages of the Lipofection and Magnetofection transfection techniques, LipoMag Kit reaches even higher transfection efficiency, especially in primary cells, with reduced toxicity. It is suitable for all type of nucleic acids including plasmid DNA, linearized DNA, siRNA, oligonucleotides, double stranded RNA, mRNA, and shRNA.
Magnetofection requires the use of a magnetic plate. An 8 x 12 Magnetic Plate is included in the Starter Kit.
Figure 1: BEAS-2B cells (1x105 cells/ well) were transfected with Reagent L, DreamFect™ Gold or with LipoMag Kit in a 24-well plate using 0.5µg of GFP plasmid DNA. GFP positive cells were monitored by Flow Cytometry 24h after transfection.
