Description
Gelacell™ PLGA:PCL scaffolds Affixed to Cell Crowns
This product includes Gelacell™ HaloSpun PLGA:PCL (poly lactic-co-glycolic acid + polycaprolactone) nanofiber scaffolds affixed to cell crowns for long term 3D cell culture. Cell crowns suspend the scaffold above the bottom of the well plate, making them ideal for long term 3D cell culture by enhancing nutrient diffusion. The cell crowns are offered in sizes designed to fit standard 6, 12, and 24 well plates.
Gelacell™ scaffolds are specifically designed to optimize 3D cell culture and encourage cell migration, proliferation, and differentiation.
Gelacell™ scaffolds are made using novel, patented HaloSpinning technology to closely mimic the natural extracellular matrix. These scaffolds offer the perfect combination of flexible hydrogels and hard, structured scaffolds.
Halospinning creates highly porous scaffolds with a high surface area to volume ratio, which facilitates nutrient delivery, offers ample surfaces for cell proliferation, and prevents cellular waste buildup.
